Case Study Master Plan

The master planning process was undertaken over a five month period and involved consideration of the overall planning context, opportunities and constraints to development and the community’s aspirations.

A number of potential development options were generated and assessed against the vision and desired character for the site in consultation with the local community.

Dawley Projects implemented a community engagement strategy to engage the local community and keep them informed throughout the master planning process. The strategy included regular newsletters and local forums.

The selected development concept involved the establishment of low density rural living allotments within a heavily landscaped setting. In order to ensure consistency with the overall vision for the area Design Guidelines were developed covering matters such as the use of materials, landscaping, building envelopes and public infrastructure.
